Senior AP Poetry Response Project

The Objective of this project is to respond to an unfamiliar work of poetry. It will also serve to give the class a full review of poetry from different literary time periods. Follow the following directions:

1. You will select a poem by drawing a title and author from the bag.
2. Find the text of the poem and create a PowerPoint slide by copying and pasting the poem into the presentation. Include the author of the poem and the date the poem was written. Email this slide to lorrieatkinson@gmail.com as soon as you make it.
3. Write a minimum 500 word response to your poem. The response must be handwritten and include the following: background information on the poem, discuss three of the ten elements discussed in class yesterday, and a personal response.
4. You will present your poem and response Friday, February 27Th. In your presentation, you will present the slide on your poem, read the poem to the class, and share your response.

This project is due Friday with out exception. It is worth 75 points. We will be presenting in Ms. Negron's room, so meet in room 15 that day.
