Michigan has too many people and too few jobs!
I attended a charter school job fair over the weekend and it was a crazy zoo. This job fair was specifically aimed at teachers. The people attending the job fair were mixed. I saw young, old, experienced, and inexperienced individuals. I also saw desperate individuals who were not teachers at this job fair (there is a myth that charter school teachers do not have to hold certification). The lines to see representatives from the schools criss-crossed one another. You could hardly find the end of each line. I waited in line over an hour to see representatives from the top schools and 20-40 minutes in lines for other schools. Use this information to make an inference about the state of employment and the economy in the state of Michigan. What does the crowd at this job fair tell you about what is happening with the conditions surrounding both the economy and education?

In today's economy it is getting a bit hard to get a job. I believe it's hard to get a job because the United States is loosing money. Therefore it would be hard to pay more employees if they were to hire them. The United States is gowing through a recession and it's getting hard for people to find a job. Also since some people did not even finish high school to get a diploma, then you really don;t have a chance to get a job.
In my opinion i think basically we are going flat broke so they are laying off teachers. When Mrs. Atkinson said that the job fair was mixed young, old, experienced, and inexperienced individuals. Im thinking in my head it is alot of unemployed people. The state of michigan is going downhill and childrens education are suffering because of it.
I think that this is proving that the economy and the education system are going down hill. People are assuming that anybody can just be a teacher and for the most part, I can see where these opinions are coming from. In any case, many teachers are being laid off, and all of these uncertified people are trying to take their jobs. It is not fair. It is also pointing out how terrible the economy is because all of these teachers are being laid off.
The economy in this day and age is getting really resistant and hard to get a job. I think that economy is effecting many thing's. Th most important thing in, in my opinion, is the education for the students and the jobs lost of the teachers. The lost for the jobs of the teachers is really getting fustrating and stressful for the teachers because the teahcers are losting their jobs due to school closing and the government needing money to pay off their debts or helping other thing's and stiuations in need. Teachers are losing their jobs and it's getting really hard for them to find another job in their interest or a job that can get them through the year. The students are being affected by the teachers situations, the students are suffering because there are students in their junior year that may be affected by teachers losing their jobs and school closing. I think that by the students having to change schools will affect the credits of the juniors and affect the other students because many schools have been closed and many students are coming from detroit schools to inkster school and the schools is beening packed of students because of school closing.
Now a days in Michgan it is so hard to get a job since the econmony is so messed up. You have to go through so much to get a job and sometimes you don't even get the job. This is a percfect example of how hard it is to get a job. I hope the teachers here can find a job
I believe that the reason why its so hard to get employed in michigan is because of the lack of industry and education, people do not have the qualifications to work high paying jobs and there aren't many open positions for the lower paying jobs since people are trying to get any job they can.
It hints at Michigan's education system being a failure. All the swarms of people show just how horrible the economy is. People can hardly find openings in in small class jobs. That makes jobs that are essential especially harder to get. So until Michigan gets there economy together the education system will continue to fail.
In this stage of Michigan's economy, it is very hard to find a job. The reason for that is the state is loosing money. The Michigan citizen who have a job are now taking pay cuts and many are being laid off because of lack of fund to pay them. Michigan and the United States as a whole are going through a huge financial crisis and times are hard for many people.
In addition to this finacial crisis, there is also a criis within the educational system. In Michigan, there have been many school closings. When the schools close, that means teachers are now out of a job. With the state being in a finanical crisis, the school are not recieving any money and the new computers and textbooks cannot be purchased to ensure that the student recieve the best education possible. Everyone understands that a change must happen, and everyone is anticipating that day.
