The Teachers Pet program is a good program for child development. I think thisw because they do learn that someone loves them and start to feel as if they are a parent teaching a small child right from wrong. One girl said the dog didn't like her at first then when she started to be around the dog more the dog began to like her. This made her feel like a mother reseving unconditional love. This is good because it gives them good communication skills and skills in life that they would use or a sense that they have done something right instead of wrong.
The Teachers Pet Program helps children by giving them something positive to do. On top of that it teaches them compassion and teamwork. Some children do not have anyone to love or any one that loves them a animal well help with that. Animals can be that brother or sister you never had. Also it teaches children responsibility.
This program that involves pets is a good one for child development. I agree with that because it teaches the child how to love and feel wanted. Referring back to the article, there was one girl who stated that at first the canine did not like her, but as time progessed the dog stated to warm up to her. The feeling she said she got from the dog warming up to her, was the feeling she got when she was around her mother. This made her feel like she was receiving unconditional love. The Teachers' Pet program help improve a childs' communication skills and as well as skills that they will need in everyday life. Also, it will help with the skills to understand when they have did something right and when they have did something wrong.
Teachers Pet seems like it's making progress in it's program. I think that it is a good program for all animal lovers. The Teachers Pet program helps people become better friends with their animals, making the animal feel the love from their owner. Whomever likes animals to the point where they put clothes and shoes on them, and brush their teeth, then I recommend that they read this article and sign up for the program; So they too can become a better animal lover.
I think that the teachers pet program is a good way to help the teens. In the program the dogs are there to show them uncondtional love. the program teaches them compassion, teamwork, and to help each other. the particpants in the program probably feel that they are not loved so they go around and do bad things in get in trouble, but if they have someone there for them like the dogs they wont have to be put in juvenile.
The teachers pet program teaches unconditional love to its participants by allowing them to be loved in return. They provide a troubled animal for the troubled participant and allow them to grow and develope together over time. The dog will form a bond with the participant and learn to love them. The participant will love them back. The participant will feel better because even though they have faults, they dog will still love them.
The teachers pet program is a very good program for child development. I say this because they learn that someone does love them. It teaches them compassion and how to work togehter. The teachers pet program is also a good program because it teaches them responibility. And it can feel the void of being lonely.
I think the program is not only great for the kids but for the dogs as well. The kids learn life skills such as right and wrong, and help the dogs be less rambunctious around people. The program is progressing very well and hopefully it will expand
In my opinion, I think the Teachers Pet program is a great program for children in need of giving attention to someone or some animals. I feel this way because the students are chaging their ways of the bad thing's they use to do and thing's they just want to get off their mind. Children and teens from Oakland Facility for troubled youth and juvenile offenders feel conforting these dogs will show these dogs that they could trust them and show them love in a way these dogs never got in their lives and the teens and children will get it back in return. For example, during the twelve week program the teens learned basic animal handling and identified their stress and they aslo performed commands such as "sit",
"stay", "down", and leave it". This made the feel that they are loved. Another example is about this girl and her dog that she had from the program and she said that the dog was not interested in her, but then the more they got together and communicated more the dog started to trust her more like she was her mother. This shows that the dogs and the teens are feeling that they could open up more and express themselves to other people.
The teachers pet program helps troubled teens become more responsible and the dogs are able to show these teens love and compation and the teens are also able to learn skills like dog training. Dogs are able to bond with with these teens and give them a sense of meaning.
Pets offer unconditional love because of their loyalty. It shows the participants love by teaching them how to be like parents. Teaching the participants that you can show love through actions. At the same time showing the dogs that they can be loved.
The teacher's pet program seems like a good program. The program gives the children responsibility and a purpose. The pets respond to the affection of students. The more the students care the more the pets care for them. Pets aren't judgemental so it shows the students how good unconditional love can be. The program is helpful with the students.
