Read the article contained in the link titled "Time Capsule" at the bottom of the page, then read the comments. There are several things very wrong with some of the comments made about this article. Describe what is happening with these comments. Why do you believe these comments were made? Please explain in two good paragraphs.

Your papers should be through the grade book by tomorrow. I took them with me to Flint in case the meeting is boring. Make sure you really do study third period.

This article, to me is an eye opener. I say this because so many people do reflect upon the negative instead of the positive. The people who found the letter signed by 26 first graders in 1952 should be happy because it was a good thing. But its not. The comments that some people left were outrageous and very ignorant. Seriously this should not be a controversial issue.
Some reader decided to say the country is doomed because of democrats. Then someone commented and told him he should be ashamed for turning a good article into something political and that the last 10 administrative were republican. Now I personally don't know what this time capsule had to do with politicians. Then others wanted to compare 1952 with what's happening now. The whole meaning of the article was completely taken from because irrate people. The time capsule was a good thing not a bad. Times were good back then but slowly and surely our country will become more productive. Placing blame on one particular political party was not in this article nor did it say anything about it. So why place a comment that has nothing to deal with the issue like saying good old days were back when black south of eight mile.
The time capsule was changed more into a debate over politicians, social security, Medicare, neighborhoods, and how to raise a child. The good morale of the article was completely taken and no one, maybe a few decided to speak on the issue but majority were way off topic speaking on issues that were not mentioned in the Time Capsule.

The problem with the article's commment's is the people who commented on the article started to start more about politics and religion and not the topic on hand . The time capsule was the topic and was never discussed! The commenters also were a little racist and talked negatively about welfare. They were acting very ignorant and rude. The purpose of the article was to talk about a time capsule and the letter.
The commenters were completely off topic and had a heated discussion about something that had ABOSOLUTELY nothing about a time capsule. Relgion, politics, how people were back then, and social sercurity/welfare were the real topic of the comments. The whole point of the comments were pointless to me. If the commenters wanted to comment, they should've stayed on topic and not have gotten off track. This article should have had good comments, not bad ones

The comments posted at the bottom of the article had nothing to do with the article. I believe that the guy who first made the first comment just wanted a place to voice his opinion. His negative comments turned the lovely article into a huge debate. Some people have nothing better to do with themselves.

The comments proved that there are so many negative people in this world. Here we have a positive article and they turn into something negative. I believe these comments were made because some people just always look at the bad in things. Also some of the comments made were ignorant because they were off topic. The comments made were by a bunch of idiots who clearly aren't happy with themselves!

I believe that those comments were highly unneccessary. There is no reason that people should be that self absorbed and self rightous. Yes this is 2010. This is a new time than 1952. That means that we as a nation should have progressed, not been left in the same mindstate as we were so many years ago. I do not understand how a sweet article about a time capsule turned into such a dispute. Some of those comments were racist, unneccessary, and all together rude. For everybody to be complaining about how America has made a turn for the worst, they are a part of the problem. If they wanted to be a part of the solution, they would stop being biggost and politically incorrect.

In this article, many decided to reflect on the negative aspect of it instead of the positive aspect. The construction workers who uncovered the letter written and signed by twenty-six first graders fifty-eight years, feel that this should be a positive thing as well as good thing. But after reviewing the comments, it seems that it is not. The comments that were made by most of those commentators were senseless and very ignoraant. On a serious note, this is something that should not be a controversial issue.

There was a commentator in the article who turned this into something about politics, which this is not about. The commentator decided to say the country is facing failure due to the work of demorcrats. In a way, I somewhat agree to him, being that I am a liberal. I do not understand how this motivational article about a time capsule buried almost sixty years ago has to do with politics. It is just not adding up.

Another commentator decided to go off topic and compare life now to 1952. The true meaning of this article was taken in another direction because of ignorant people. The discovering of this time capsule was meant to be a good thing, not a bad one. Those commentators continuously put the blame on different political parties, which was not what this article was about. It seems today there are so many irrate people in the world.

There was a comment that was posted that really offended me. The commentator decided to say that life should go back the "good old days", when black people lived south of Eight Mile. As more commentators posted their opinions, it progressed into an arguemnt over politics and politicians, as well as issues over social security, medicare, and inpoverished neighborhoods. The motivation of this articlen was completely taken into the wrong context and none of the commentators mentioned anything about the discovery of the time capsule, they were completely off topic. The greater part of these comments were offensive, racist, and uttrerly rude.

It started off very positive but when it got to the comments everything changed. People were racist and negative. This is suppose to be about a great finding and chaneged into something more political. They are talking about medicare, social security, and politicians what does that have to do with a time capsule. They talking about democrats making this country worst. Also theey were talking about how bad our country is now

The comments are completely oblivious to the article. They don't have anything to do with the article. People are posting about the political and religious views. As well as destroying such a magnificent historic event. People would rather try ruin something so great than show appreciation.

The article was simply informing others of how students found a time capsule. Showing them just how simple and easy going the past was. The people who commented were trying to debate. They could careless whether or not if these children are getting a new libary or if they found a time capsule.

The article, was ok. It was about the time capsule being torn down, so a new bulding can be built; a library. Some of the people who commented on the blogger were of topic about the article. Some of the comments were verbally abusive, and some comments were reported.
In my opinion, the comments were pointless; and the people must not have a life to the point where they get mad over a article. I don't see the point of reporting a problem about what someone who I don't even know.
