The boy in the balloon hoax was the article I read. His parents made a false report that he was in this hot air balloon in the air and alerted the authorities. This whole situation is horrible not only did they waste their time trying to find a boy who wasn't even lost in the first place. Who knows if another family was trying to find a young child the authorities where only worried about this boy. His parents should go to jail or be in trouble.
I chose this because some parents try to get attention by using their children. Which is a horrible idea because what if something really happened to you child no one would really believe you. Whose to say that something wasn't going to happen to this boy while the police were suppose to be trying to get him out of this balloon. Overall this article and topic stuck out to me because I think you're not suppose to lie about your child because something horrrible could happen to them and you would look guilty instead of like a worried parent...
Something that has caught my attention in the news lately is the way that these parents are treating their children. In one thing that i heard on the news, a mother set her house on fire with all of her children in the house but one. All of her children were killed in the fire except the child that she had with her current boyfriend. From what Ive heard, the boyfriend didnt want to take care of no other mans children so the mother just got rid of them. Topics alot like this have been coming up alot lately.

A good paper topic would be to write about parents who use children for publicity and profit. You can explore modern cases such as this or the Gosslens or those in the past such as the Jacksons.

The police was told that Micheal Brewer was set on fire because he owed $40 to this boy for a video game but micheal didnt give him the money. So the boy took it upon his self to try to steal a $500 bike from micheal's dad. Then Micheal called the police, and the boy decided to get revenge. So him and an accomplice set Micheal Brewer on fire.
I chose an article about hip-hop star Jay-Z who is scheduled to perform at many colleges including Michigan's own Eastern Michigan University. Rapper Jay-Z is scheduled to perform at Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center this Wednesday. This performance follows the September release of The Blueprint 3, which is his latest chart-topping critical success from 39-year-old rapper. Also to perform in the show is a sort of the worldly, more progressive hip-hop, rap-rock group N.E.R.D., J. Cole, the first artist on Jay-Z's newly found Roc Nation label, and lastly, the D.C. born rapper Wale who had a recent hit with the song "Chillin'" featuring Lady Gaga are all to perform at this event.
I am interest in exploring this topic because, entertainment and music itself is something that I truly love and it is something that people around my age can understand and somewhat relate to.

Culturally, a boy is more valuable to the Chinese than a girl, so many families killed first born girls in order to be able to have a boy.

School violence is getting worse. This may make a good paer topic. Explore why you believe school violence is worse today than maybe 15 years ago.
I am interested in exploring parents who use their children for personal gain. I think this is good topic because this happens a lot in our country. Parents see their children as marketing strategies instead of innocent human lives. We see it happen all the time in the media. In reality when parents try to use their children for money, it hurts the child because the child is forced to do things they don't want to.

My topic is about the banning of a very popular but violent game series called "the God of War".This game series takes place in Sparta the main character in this series is a man named Kratos that is being used by the gods of Olympus.This series contains alot of violent scenes like cutting people in half, ripping people apart and breaking necks.This game is going to be banned in Australia because of its violent content.I picked this topic because God of War is one of my favorite game series.
a 1 year old boy in critcal condition after a california shootind was the article i read.26year-old La' Tonya Dixon was being held on more than $1 million dollar bail. la'tonya start shooting Saturday, wounding the 1 year old and also shooting her 5year old brother at their South Los Angeles apartment.she was arrested after a standoff with police when she put down her handgun and officers tackled her.The 5 year old was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say the younger brother survived despite multiple bullet wounds.the reason why i chose this article beacause i feel that the more younger people are getting killed and dying alot.mothers burring their children,there is so much violence in the world.i feel that we should all come to togetehr and make this world a better place.
My article I chose was about the former May of Detroit Kwame Kilpatrick. The article was about his finicial scams. They were trying to reopen his case. The decision was to keep the case closed until they could find further evidence of scams.
