Read the following quote from Aristotle:
"One must learn by doing the thing, for though you think you know it, you have no certainty until you try."
Explain what this quote means to you in three concise sentences.
Students,
I did not get many rough drafts. I know this paper was difficult and required some thought, but I can't help you unless you attempt the paper. Writing is about trying and trying again. You will not improve unless you are constantly drafting and correcting. Get me the drafts. On Wednesday, I will have writing conferences and distribute progress reports.

I think Arisole meant even though you know something about a particular subject, having taking the experience would give you more knowledge. Therefore you have more knowledge based upon what you went through and you tried it. Eventhough you think you may know it going through an experience would help you become a person who is able to talk about it and be able to tell because you know some information and you had an experience.
I think the quote means that you learn from your mistakes. Anyone can tell what the outcome of your actions may be, but when you do it for yourself it is different. You can only learn from your mistakes, not the mistakes of others.
I think what he was trying to say is that you can know something but how do you know if you have great knowledge about that subject if you haven't expierenced it. Its like you can know everything about this paper that you have to write but you have'nt even started on the outline so how do you know if you have enough information for that paper if you have'nt started on it.
I think that Aristotle meant that you cannot really learn anything from other peoples experiences. People learn better by having experiences of their own. Learning by doing is alot better than learning by seeing.
This quote means you don't know what if you can do something until you try it. For example, when a child is learning how to ride a bike, and they constantly fall off of the bike, to become good at riding a bike you must continue to try. Don't give up when you can't master something at the beginning keep on trying.
I believe that Aristotle qoute means that you can't understand things just by observing. You actually have to participate and interact with project at hand. By doing so your ignorance and uncertainty will be cured.
This quote is saying that you don't Know what you can do until you try.In my 8th grade year in middle school I had to take a band class I thought I was going to fail the class but I found an instrument I liked and practiced with it and I became good at playing the baritone. This is how I figured out that you have to first try something before know you can do it or not
i believe that the qoute means that the only way you can learn from your mistakes is by doing it. You really don't know what will happen unless you experience what your going through
I think this quote means that you can learn if you dont try. You always learn from your mistakes, with mistakes comes success. You never know how much much you know or learn until you try
I think this quote is trying to get out, you have to learn about the thing's before you think you know something. This quote is quoting that if you have a problem on a paper then you must experience it by doing the paper and thinking about after you do it. You would not know what to do until you do it, you basically will not know about writing a paper if you will not try to do it.
