I would actually think the person who has a lot of Christmas lights on their house is really pretty, not really tacky to me. Besides, it's good to be unique and stand out from the crowd sometimes! I would say the brightest house I've ever seen was two days ago. There were lighted reindeer on the lawn, a lighted Santa on the roof, and red and green Christmas lights shining all around the house with a light up sign saying, "Happy Holidays!" Thats my description of the house I saw.

There is a house like that in my neighborhood. It has way too many lights. They are blue, yellow, red and white lights. Their house just looks way too out there. Sometimes people will stop and take pictures of the excitement. They also have a reindeer and a santa claus on the roof of the house. It is just way to distractive for drivers. And their lights are very flamboyant.

None of the people on my block have any christmas lights up, but the ones on the next block do and theirs are pretty decent and they dont over do it... I really dont care what my neighbors have on their lawns because its not at all in the least bit important to me and I dont necessarily like anyone on my block anyways. This christmas is kinda scarce for the most part on my block, people are more worried about scraping up enough to get presents instead of a tree or lights and ornaments ... I for one have never been interested in christmas lights, but only the presents really lol... The only thing that I'm worried about is getting christams presents for my loved ones and that's all I care about really...

I don't have anyone putting up decorations in my neighborhood, but I have a friend who has alot of christmas decorations. My friend Heather. She has a tree in her front yard that is decorated very nicely. The tree has pretty lights, and many ornaments of many colors on it. Her family has decorations on their light poles, they coverd them in garland that was shiny white color, like snow. They have snowman and a Santa clause that lights up on their front yard. I personally love their decorations, their just so creative and nice. I like how they work so hard to celebrate the holiday. I would love to decorate my house one day like that, it would be hard but fun. I love Heather's family's chritmas spirit. :)

The house in my neighborhood has is a big beautiful red bricked house. With a white garage that has blue, yellow, red, and white lights all over it. The same colored lights are hanging from the roof and from the window sills. This is a very big and beautiful home but it has some very odd decorations.

I used to think that this house was the most beautiful block in the whole neighborhood. It is the most beautiful ouse that I think I've ever seen. It looks like a castle. The foundation has big beautiful brick which covers the whole house. The panel is a beautiful caramel biege color. The windows are so crystal clear that it is like looking at a diamond. The window sills are maid of a beautiful gray marbel that sparkles like stars in the night sky. The house looks as if it has four levels to it. THe very top if the roof is in a reverse cone shape. It makes the roof like like a castle tower. The part the added the final touch to this magical wonder was the picture window. You can see everything through that window. It was a very beautiful home until I came back from trip to Mexico fo rthe Thanksgiving break. I never noticed anyone hanging up any decorations until one night I went to bed early before the sun went down. When I woke up, it was a little before 11 so I went to get something to drink. When I went back to my room, I saw a very bright light flashing. I thought that it was an ambulance light but I didn't hear a siren. SO I closed my eyes again, but I could not get back to sleep. It was so annoying. So I got up to see what it was. When I open my curtains I could not believe my eyes. The house that I thought looked like the castle Queen of England's castle looked like the Las Vegas Strip. It was the most horrible sight that I think I've ever seen. I almost went color bblind from all of the colorful lights. In the grass, they had all big blow up decorations of all characters from Winnie the Pooh stories. Then directly next to it, Santa Clause is in his sleigh with all nine of his reigndeer. They are so close it looks as if they are going to run into each other. They are all surrounded by thousands of candy canes. It looks like revenge of the Disneyworld characters or something. Then, on the porch, there is the biggest wreath that I've ever seen. They have Santa Clause sitting in a chair on the porch while 7 of his elves are working on toys all over the plays. Then, the Simpsons family is sitting right next to Santa. Bart and Lisa are arguing over a toy. Maggie is in Marge's hair and Homer is putting donuts on the Chrismas Tree. It looks like the Simpsons are working for Santa. Then, there are stringy lights from every angle of the house. They are on the porch, on the roof, and they are covering the windows. The only thing wrong with this is that there are too many and there are to many different colors. They look like a billion little skittles hanging from a string. Then to top it all off, there is another Santa Clause on the roof with more reigndeer and directly behind it, there is a big sign that is flashing MERRY CHRISTMAS. So, now there house will be causing controversy amongst children causing them to believe that there are to Santa Clauses. So the Merry Christmas sign is what woke me up along with the candy lights. The only beautiful thing about the house now is looking through their big picture window at their Christmas tree. It is coved in beautiful gold lights and ornaments with a big gold star at the very top. It is so beautiful. Becuase no one in my family is in the spirit, and no one is putting a tree up this year, it is the only thing that is keeping me happy this Christmas. Up under all of the Las Vegas confusion, I know it is still the beautiful castle that I've always known.

I live in North Rosedale Park, which is one of the more prestigious neighborhoods in Detroit. Everything in our neighborhood is a contest, from best house, to best lawn, to of course best Christmas display. Along Bretton Drive which are the larger homes of the area, there is the one house on the corner, It is already huge home, and there lighting display is ridiculous. It seems as if they draped there home in nothing but multi color lights, also there are about three sets of reindeer, in their yard. In my opinion the house is beyond over lighted.

Dj lying my friend lives down the street from him and her house is set up very pretty. So DJ DESCRIBE IT. As for me my neighbor is boring. The most you get is lights around the window and stickers on the window which is our house.

I have never been one to get into the whole Christmas, santa clause thing. I've always felt that Christmas lights, and decorations outside of the house was so so over rated. So ever year around, my happiness quickly turns to bitterness. LOL. Not because I dont enjoy Christmas, because I love getting lots and lots of gifts, but because alot of people tend to get so caught up in the decorations they forget the real meaning of the holiday. But no matter how upset or down i might be feeling, I can always count on the second house down to the right of mine. It is a three story home. with lots and lots of windows. You would think that they wanted everyone to know what went on between the four walls of there home.LOL. Not only do they decorate there home during the Christmas holiday, but they decorate for every holiday. I can see it now, Valentines day, the top of there home is decorated with hearts all along the tremming of there flat top black panel roof. Saint Patricks day, little three leaf clovers around every stainless glass window. If im not mistaking its about 10-14 windows....its amazing how this family finds time to decorate for every single holiday. I love it!!! But none of these holidays compare to what they do for Christmas. It starts at the driveway and it goes all the way to the backyard. They have two brick statues on each side of the drive way that are drapped in green garline, with a bright shining star on both statues. They have lights along each side of their circle driveway. There is a wreaf on the front and the back door. As if the glass doors arent all ready the most beautiful doors ive ever seen. From one end of the gray and white bricked home to the other it is drapped in colorful lights. In every window there is either a star, a small christmas tree, or a merry christmas sign. On the roof there is a Mrs. and Mr. Clause, like seriously have you ever seen a Mrs.Claus.....In the back there are even more colorful lights that hand from there wooded patio that looks as if it was hand painted white. On the grass behind the patio is scenery of Santa and his elfs and all his reinders, and not to forget the song that constanly plays through out the night "Santa Clause is coming to Town" This beautiful home gives you a sense of happiness. I think it brings joy to the whole neighberhood. It is the most beautiful sight I have ever seen, well that is besides myself.lol. But i have never met this family that lives in this home. But judging by there holiday spirit I know that they are just as jolly as the decorations.

Seeing this house brightened myeyes. The lights brightened brighter than a childs emagination. there were reindeer that glew brighter than the northstar and the reif was bigger than you could ever imagine. I've never seen a christmas tree so big in my life. lights wrapped around not missing one branch. On top of the tree was a star made of the lights that was shapped ever so perfectly. In the front were little bushes covered in lights with a big blow up marry go round. Walking past this house would give the most spiritless person goose bumps. Ive never seen a sight so beautiful in my life.

In my new neighborhood only one person really puts lights on in front of the house and onthe bushes. Even though that is this neighborhood in my old neighborhood it was a man down the name Mr.Kelly. It would start off with simple christmas lights on the bushes and all on the outside of the house that looks red, blue, and green like glow in the dark m&m's. Then goes onto a about 7 foot Santa that looks like he is in a waving position. From there it is about a 8 footsnow globe that has frosty, santa, elves, and reindeer with artificial blowing around in the snow globe. Then on the porch you have artificial presents like Santa already came then on top of that you have santa on the roof looking like he is going to take off into the night with the reindeer angled to the air then he has merry christmas in bright lights on the lawn. Now just imagine seeing that for the last thirteen years of your life and sat on night and looked at them and asked my dad how come our house didn't look like that, my dad told me if our house looked like that "Santa wouldn't come by to give us presents". (It would make our bills cost too much). I really liked it and it is kind of cool and very unique.
