READ THIS: Seniors Only! I am soooo disappointed with you!

I only received papers from 8 students. I even waited and checked Gmail and Yahoo on Saturday night. I know this is your senior year and most of you only want to have fun, but bad grades can hurt your chances for admissions to a good college. Also, AP English looks good on your transcript. Colleges give more weight to college prep and AP classes than they do to general classes. As of now, all students in this class must remain in this class until the end of the term. Therefore, all students in this class must do their work to the best of their ability. The first paper was an easy paper and three days with total computer access was more than ample time to write it. This is a college level class. If I made it any easier, it would not be AP English. I am not giving students too much to do. Student's personal expectations for are just too low. It is a competitive world out there! You need to be prepared for it! Use class time wisely and ask questions. Those of you who did not get me a paper will be spending time in ZAP lunch this week doing this paper. Mr. Alvarado will not transfer you out at this point, so not doing work in protest is not a good idea. Also, you must put in a little effort outside of class to do reading in order to keep up with class discussions. This is the way college works.
