Senior Pranks
Seniors at Livonia Stevenson High School have traditionally created a tasteless t-shirt to wear at the end of the school year. This year the reference was about underage drinking. The shirt said, "Puchsin it to the limit" and .08 (a reference to both the graduating class and the legal blood alcohol limit). The seniors who wore the shirts had to write an essay about underage drinking or they would not be allowed to attend graduation exercises or prom. Now, a student from this high school was involved in a drunk driving accident that took the life of a young father. The student's blood alcohol level showed that this student was legally drunk. At this point, how would you feel if you were one of those students who wore the shirts. Explain in a good paragraph.

Actually I wouldnt even wear one of those shirts. The first reason is because, I dont have to express myself to know one if I want to drink. Second, is beacuse im not under the influence to drink. Some teenagers dont know what drinking can lead to. They always have to find out the hard way.
I think the shirts give other teens ideas. If a student who attended the school where the terrible accident happened wore the shirt I would be offended. I believe the shirts were a horrible idea but, I don't believe they shouldn't be able to attend prom or graduation. I think that is an extreme punishmemt they should have just gotten suspended.
To me I believe that people are always taking things to the extreme, I mean so what the kids did that and yes they were wrong, but they did as a little joke for their last year and they are just trying to have fun. We as Americans are always trying to criticise others when they do wrong but can never turn on theirselves and reflect the bad things that they've done.
For one I would have never worn the shirt. I think it’s very inconsiderate to not only the recent accident, but to all of the families that have been involved in a tragic drunk driving accident. If I did wear the shirt, I would feel sorry for the family. I wouldn’t feel sorry on my behalf because I was not involved in the accident, but then it would be as if I supported it, which I don't.
I am commenting on Audra's coment I completely agree with her, I think I would be offended if I lost a loved one in a car accident then I would be mad about the shirts cause they supported that kind of behavior.
I would've wore the shirt in the first place. I would wear it because I don't like liquor and I don't care for people that drink. Them wearing those shirts was kinda over the top. Why would someone wear a shirt like that after someone died that actually went to there school? I know I wouldn't have.
If i was one of the students that wore the shirt i would have felt that it was the person who was drunk's fault. any mature and responsible person would be able to make a good decision not to drink and drive. Since to wear the shirts were only pranks if anyone took the shirts seriously and got themselve's in trouble, i think its their fault.
I would feel very sad. i would feel as if its very sad to loose someone so young. I would be proud to wear the shirt. I would want to teach the children to not drink.
I honestly disagree with ced. I actually would have wore the shirt because it was only a joke. I don't believe that just because a stndent that wore the shirt gotinto an alcohol related accident that everyone who wore the shirt acctually drank alcohol. I have a sense of humor and that was just a prank therefore the seniors whom were involved in the prank shouldn't all be punished.
Me personally i think the student shouln't have wore the shirts, and if I Was the principal I wouldn't Have let Them Attend Graduation or prom either. I Feel The Students Was Just Trying To Make there last few days in high school funny.
I thnk that these students were doing things just to have a memory of their high school grauation but they was planning a little too much and they was planning to insall drunk habits into others students mind that weren't grauating at the time. It was agood idea to have them write a page or an essay of why this was done to the graduation class.
i would feel bad because it would be like i encoraged it to happen by advertising young adults to drink. But i would not wear that shirt because i think about my action and there outcome before i do them and that would be something on my not to do list.
I would not had even wore one of those shirts because all they were doing os just getting their selves into trouble.....but also i think that then name of the thingwas senior pranks and that mean that it was only a joke but as the school always do take things to the extream and go all the wya over board!!!
I would have to disagree with ced on this one he obviously has no sense of humor. The students were only playing a harmless prank as far as wearing the shirts, but where one of the students went wrong is actually making the decision to drink and drive. That accident had nothing to do with the other seniors wearing the shirt it had everything to do with a young adult making the wrong choice and has to pay for it because of it.
I think that pranks are funny just don't take the prank too far. i think the prank in this situation is blown completely out of proportion i think it finny and if its funny i am going to laugh.
CED DID A GOOD JOB ON WRITING HIS BLOGGER. I UNDERSTAND WHAT HE MEAN'S COMPLETLY. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WEAR A SHIRT TO EXPLAIN WHO YOU ARE. I FEEL THE SAME WAY. AND IF YOU DO DRINK YOUR NOT SUPPOSE TO LET ANYONE ELSE KNOW THAT.
I wouldve wore the shirt, but it would not have been for drinking. it would of been for celebrating the year i gradulated. the shirt could of meant anything it didn't have to be for liquor. i say if didn't say anything about drinking then wear it proudly.
well why would anybody want to tell the world that they drink. to me thats not cute. underage drinking or drinking period can cause some serious harm to your body. i beleive that if your going to drink dont push it to the limit where u hit acohol poision.
I agree with Ced i wouldn't wear the shirts either. Even if i did drink i wouldnt wear it because people make opinions about the others carry themselves. How would i look walking down the street with a shirt letting others know i drink whether its the truth or not. I dont find it funny and they could have thought of something better.
