Today, we viewed the SpongeBob cartoon entitled "Procrastination". Although you are almost young adults, this cartoon holds a very important message concerning your school work. Answer the following in a good paragraph (5-8 sentences):

Why did Mrs. Atkinson show you this cartoon? What do you feel are some of her concerns about your current academic habits? What is the message of this cartoon and how does it apply to you or your classmates?

To show us how procrastination can only hurt us. That we put off our work till the last minute, and need to start keeping on top of things. The message of the cartoon is to get things done as quick as possible, cause it makes your life easier. This relates to me and my classmates cause we'er in school, and we procrastinate all the time, but we need to stop.

Yes Mrs Atkinson did show me the cartoon movie. Well, to be totaly and completely honest i dont exactly have an idea of what she thinks is wrong with my current academic habits because she only teaches one of my classes, but if i had to guess i'd say that she probably thinks i need to work more on my actual writing skills and along with that learning to use the different formats and styles of writing because i'm not used to the formats and different styles and i dont apply them to my personal style of writing. the message of the cartoon to me is basicaly the titles' meaning, dont put off what you can do today for tomorrow because time is precious and it can't be given back. Also because time is not promise and at any moment the time we thought we had (forever) can be easily taken away! this applies to me and my classmates because we often take things that we should value, such as time, for granted and will wait untill the very last minute to try to do things we had lots of time to do in the first place but we abused the time given and recieved grades that could have been better had we took all the valued time spared to do the work and do it correctly.

Mrs. atkinson showed us procrastination to show us how it could hurt us. She is concerned about us not getting our work done on time. It relates to the students who put off assignments until the last minute or who don't even get it done. As students it is our duty to make sure that we do our work.

I feel that Mrs. "A" showed us this cartoon to try and tell us not to put things off that can be done that day. Which is a prime example of procrastination. I also feel that Mrs. "A" might be concerned that we put off too much of our study time to do other things that aren't that important. The message of this cartoon was to not put off what you can do taday until tomorrow, not being a procrastinator. It applies to me and my classmates because we like to put things off until the last mintute or so. And when something is due then we're the one's who are in trouble or who get trouble about it.

I think the purpose of us watching the procrastination episode was to show how some people get distracted when they have something important to do or how they find ways to get distracted so they won't have to do it. I also think that it shows how students academic habits tend to get a little off track. As you can see in the video, Spongebob is very fond of going to boating school and is a student who does everything he is told. All in all, I think it was showing how some students tend to put something off until the last minute or continuously don't do it. Personally, I think it is a trait that all people pick up sooner or later.

I believe Mrs. Atkinson showed us the movie, because she is concerned about some of my classmates work/study habits. Some wait to the last minute to complete a task: which is not good because they may come across difficulties, and have questions. But if the wait until the last minute, no one may be able to help them. The message of the cartoon is to never wait, or put of something to the last minute, because its only wasting time, and causing yourself difficulties.

I think Mrs.Atkinson showed us this particular cartoon to nicely warn us about how procrastination can hurt you. Academically speaking, procrastination can become a bad habit to break. Personaly, procrastination has become a daily routine in my life, when it comes to typing papers for College Prep English, because it makes me elaborate more and also have thorough thoughts. Another reason I think Mrs. Atkinson showed us this cartoon is because she probably thinks everyone essays in the college prep english class can be much better if we all stop procrastinating. Therefore we a s students should take our work more seriously.

I thinkin Mrs. Atkinson's concern is with the students and their productivity with their work. She showed us that episode of Spongebob to show us the affects of procrastinating when you know you have to do work. We do procrastinate when it comes to school work though because we're responsible for getting our work in on time, and sometimes we do have a tendency to wait until the last minute and do everything that was supposed to be done in a timely manner.

I think that you showed us the video because some of us be procrastinating. I know that I tend to do that alike. I start to pick up on my work now.Procrastination is not good at all and I learned from my mistakes.

To me it showed that if you wait to do something it will be a big waste of time. Whats the point of waiting on something when you can get it done and have time to complete other work.

The video made you think about so much. It showed what could happen if you took things for granted and didn't take care of your responsibilities. The video of procastination made a lot of sense as to what could happen if you are not responsible. I hope that students realise and take in consideration that evrything that you do comes with a price in the long run. This was a perfect example of taking care of your priorities first.
